New to #R2BC? Let me hand over to Mich for a moment:
Reasons to be Cheerful 1, 2, 3 (or #R2BC as it is affectionately known) is a simple link your blog up which is open to everyone and particularly easy for a new blogger to join in... Go on, jump right in, we are all friendly here!See? It's all super easy and fun. All you need to do is write a post about the things that have made you cheerful this week and link it up below. Great to have you on board. Read some of the other posts if you have time and share the love.
So what are my reasons to be cheerful this week?
- An important 1st - it was DD's first day at nursery on Wednesday. I was feeling like this while she was there but it actually all went swimmingly, she didn't have a meltdown and seemed to love every minute of the two hours she spent there. Hurrah!
- Family fun - Nana and Tall Sis came down to stay overnight this week so we had lots of girly giggles and a great natter.
- A premiere - another first for DD, Sunday saw us troop off to the cinema for The Wiggles Big Party. Jeff + popcorn = eyes on stalks for 60 minutes. It was love at first sight. (And bite.)
Emma over at A Matter of Choice is hosting Reasons to be Cheerful next week, so please do stop by her place (which is in Cyprus by the way so don't forget to put on some sunscreen) and link up your positive vibes for us all to share.
Have a great week all!

The Wiggles Big Party?? Oh that's really exciting... erm, I mean for my son of course :)
ReplyDeleteGreat reasons to be cheerful - I was struggling this week, hence only having one! but thought I'd better get in the swing of it for next week!
He he, it was quite exciting for me too, but shhh... don't tell anyone. Thanks for linking up :D
ReplyDeleteOh is Jeff back in the Wiggles has he replaced Sam again?
ReplyDeleteSuperb, glad you have had some lovely female company, oh to be back in the UK, hey?
ReplyDeleteThanks for guest hosting, superb to have you on board!

Aww its great she was happy at daycare. Its great you've had a lovely week :0)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you didn't stage dive. I wasn't looking and would've dropped you.
ReplyDeleteGlad your daughter had a good time at nursery. Can understand exactly what you were going through imagining her crying. Hope it gets easier - I'm sure it will.
An important milestone, ongoing strong women having fun and a premiere (get you). Sounds like fantastic reasons to me.
ReplyDeleteIst day at Nursery is a tough one for us mums xx
ReplyDeleteFirst time on #R2BC and I think it's an excellent idea. Love the blog-hopping linky as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

ReplyDeleteI should hastily point out that it's not my linky, I'm guest hosting for the loverly Mich, but fab to have you on board nevertheless!
ReplyDeleteYou're not wrong. Luckily it went very well. Long may that good luck continue!
ReplyDeleteErrrr... Didn't realise Jeff had left at any point (don't let DD hear you, she'll be distraught). All the same line up as far as I know. (Amazing what I'm an expert in these days...)
ReplyDeleteSorry - I realised I linked up last night but didn't stay to comment - slaps wrist! So glad that nursery went well - it's such a relief to know they are happy isn't it.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty chuffed about it myself! Thanks for popping over :D
ReplyDeleteNot at all! *Applies bandage to slapped wrist* Thanks for coming back though :D. It was such a relief actually, you're so right!
ReplyDeleteHiya, glad the dreaded first day went well...i remember all too clearly ours! im new to your site and have just tried the linky thing...not sure ive done it right but i love the idea so gave it a go!!! found you through the love new blog site by the way...fab blog xxx Justine
ReplyDeleteHello! *waves* And thanks for your kind words *blushes*. It's a fab linky and well worth joining in with every week. It will be in a different place next week - details in my post above. Thanks for dropping by and for taking part in #R2BC x
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear that she enjoyed nursery. D had a 'screaming tantrum' there on Wednesday as he didn't want to join in with everyone else, but he was fine by the time I picked him up and the rest of the week seems to have gone well. It's a big change for mother and child.
ReplyDeleteEek! I have a lot of respect for nursery school teachers - they cope SO well with the tears! You're right, it is a big change for us both - here's to it going ok for us both this week :D
